About us at Countryside Doodles
Here at Countryside Doodles producing the healthiest puppies we can is very important to us. Our parent dogs receive top quality health care, they are health tested by specialist and are certified for Eyes, Heart, Hips, Elbows, and Patella’s, before they are accepted into our breeding program.  Our stud poodles are also tested and certified for Legg-Calve-Perthes, PRA and VonWillerand. You will receive copies of all clearances as proof of testing. Our parent dogs are AKC and/or CKC registered.

Our dogs are rotated in and out of our house. We have too many to have all dogs inside fulltime. All of our dogs are housebroken; crate trained and have basic obedience training. Breeding healthily well tempered and well socialized pups to be lifelong companions and to enrich other peoples life’s is my full time job. My life revolves around our wonderful pets and I love every minute of it.

Our kennels are heated and air conditioned to make sure that when they can’t be indoors with us, they are very comfortable. We play a radio for them at all times. We have 10 acres, a pond and a creek for our dogs and pups to romp and play. We also have several large outdoor fenced in play areas covering 5 acres on our property, so they have plenty room to roam.

Once our dogs have been confirmed pregnant they move into the nursery (a bedroom adjoining our master bedroom) for around the clock care.
All pups are delivered with me at mom’s side for love and support and assistance if needed. Mom and puppies remain in the nursery until about 4 to 5 weeks of age. They get accustomed to many different household sounds. (Examples: showers running, washer + dryer noises, vacuums, people, music, TV and many more household sounds). Each individual puppy is handled everyday from the time of birth until the puppy goes to its new home. Once the puppies reach about 4 weeks they are moved to a special puppy kennel where mom shows them how to use the doggy door and Puppies learn to relieve themselves out doors.(We do keep a  radio’s on for our dogs) At this time the puppy learns about the outside world and sounds. (Examples: other dogs, car nosies, different weather conditions, ECT.)  By this time the pups are learning to run and play, learning to socialize with litter mates, learning to play with us and follow us around and they are learning to be independent.  This is when the daily handling sessions get more fun for us. Because they are excited about exploring and they start forming their own personalities. By about 6 weeks of age the puppies are fully weaned from their mothers and are eating well. We do not select individual puppies for families until about 7 to 8 weeks of age. We feel that gives us plenty of time to observer and evaluate each individual puppy’s personalities, and by that time and we can also estimate size and coat type of each puppy. By doing this it allows us to match the perfect puppy to each family. Each puppy is examined by our vet. Pups have been dewormed and have all age appropriate shots before going to new homes. We provide a health certificate and shot record for each puppy that goes to new homes between 8-12 weeks. There are times that we will have older pup and/or dogs available. Some times these dogs will be retiring from our breeding program, sometimes they may be a re home and sometimes we will hold some pups back from litters and start crate-training, house breaking or leash training and then put them up for adoption. This is a special service we sometimes offer for people that don't want to go through  the puppy stage. We only do this if we have the extra time to work with these dogs.

All pups are adopted with the requirement to be spayed or neutered!!
